- Have Enough Luggage Bags
Singapore is a shopper’s paradise so for those who are adventurous enough to venture the famous Orchard Road, be advised, “The one or two luggage bags you bring along is NOT enough.” Always be prepared especially when you intend to bring home loads of goodies. Also, please ensure that you bring quality luggage bags to prevent the bags from breaking or tearing apart due to overloading. The other option is to buy extra luggage bags while in Singapore the price is probably cheap.
- Always Keep Spare Batteries & Memory For Digital Equipment
Singapore has many lovely places of interests to visit and it is not surprising that you will take more photos than you can imagine. You wouldn't want your mood to be dampened because you realize that your digital camera has run out of battery with no replacement or your memory is full.
- Drink Plenty of Water
WHAT YOU CANNOT DO??
- Do Not Litter or Spit
- Do Not Bring Chewing Gum to Singapore
Singapore has a strict enforcement for bringing in chewing gum. The inconsiderate act of disposing chewing gum like sticking them on tables and chairs, spitting them on the floor, and sticking them on lift buttons has prompted the government to impose such a ban since 1992. Smuggling chewing gum into Singapore however, may result in a one year jail, and a $10,000 fine, it's taken that seriously.
Do Not Smoking in Air-Conditioned Places
Smoking is not allowed in air-conditioned places regardless if it is an office building or a shopping complex.
You have to leave the complex before you can light up your cigarette. The no smoking rule extends to public bus-stops, restaurants and pubs, coffee-shops and building lobbies. What’s the best option? Stop smoking.
Have a safe and wonderful trip!!
